Miketsu
In-basket exercise practice sets
Miketsu is a practice workbook for the in-basket exercise — the classic management assessment where you step into a manager's role and clear a tray of unprocessed items against the clock.
What is an in-basket exercise?
You are suddenly appointed to a management position. On your desk sits a tray of unprocessed documents — emails, memos, phone notes, reports. Within a strict time limit you must read every item, judge its priority, and decide how to handle it. The exercise measures prioritization, problem analysis, decision making, and how well you use your organization.
Two ways to practice
Simple mode
A clean web UI. Read each item as a card and answer at your own pace. Timer optional.
Pro mode
A paper exam booklet. Flip through paper documents, mark a bubble answer sheet, and race a hard time limit.

Set A — The Branch Manager

Nozaki Stationery is a mid-size maker of office supplies. This Monday morning you learned that the Eastern Sales Office manager was hospitalized suddenly, and you have been appointed as the successor, effective immediately. It is now 8:00. At 9:00 you must leave for a week-long overseas market visit that cannot be moved, with no reliable email access. In the one hour left, process every item in your predecessor's in-basket: judge each item's priority and decide how to handle it.
Set B — The Support Section Chief

Cloudleaf provides a cloud POS and inventory service to about 4,000 small retailers. It is Friday 17:20. Your predecessor left the company abruptly last week and you were appointed section chief this afternoon. At 18:00 you must leave for a residential training program over the three-day weekend — no laptop allowed, phone only in emergencies. The office reopens Tuesday. Clear the in-basket before you go.
